This store is okay except for their produce. Every time we go there we are disappointed in the produce. So we’ve decided we are going to start posting pictures of the terrible produce continuously until it improves.
I don’t understand how the produce manger(s) are still employed, they must accept every skid of produce that arrives at their store.
Also, all pictures taken will be within 24 hours of purchase.
*2023 update, the produce has somehow gotten worse!
*2024 update, the store is bigger, but not better

I use to like coming to store. I noticed since they remodeled it . The prices are high on some of there goods compared to other Krogers. Customer service is awful here. The two older men that are managers need to retire. Some of the cashier's are so rude at the check lines , the lady that waited on me had such an attitude. I had clipped a coupon for diet Pepsi and for some reason it didn't load correctly. I did have a problem with Kroger website. She demanded to see my phone and was so rude. She treated me like I had already clip it,when I did not clip the coupon for the pop. I don't think it is right for Kroger to demand our phones, for a digital coupon . If the digital coupon is this much of a problem then the digital coupon needs to be done away with. It should be your Kroger card. Kroger makes billions of dollars. I don't think it going to kill them over a couple of dollars. Please shop elsewhere, then here. Its a big store, So your paying for the cost of renovation. The items are not fresh. Please check dates. They have a tendency to use lifo inventory method. Last in first out. The older product goes first on the shelf. For example, bread they will sell almost expired bread make sure you get the furthest date here on your products. I got a few items that were near expiration and I was charged full price for the item. They sell the oldest date first ,so they don't take a loss, or have to write it off. So beware of the expiration dates here. Also there bathrooms are not clean. The store is not organized well. The produced isn't fresh, green peppers and cucumbers were very very soft and had brown spots on them.

The regular cashiers, baggers, produce, bakery and deli employees are really kind and helpful. I generally like the folks who work here. But since I moved here a year ago, I have consistently encountered poor product quality on some items. For example, half-and-half that's gone lumpy and is turning into cheese; rancid nuts; and last week, I bought some Boar's Head provolone that was super-stinky when I got it home and opened it (maybe that's on me, considering the brand, but I have never in my life had any funky provolone. It's such a mild cheese that it almost never smells of anything. That's why I buy it.) I've never had to save my grocery receipts before, and used to just take a bad product as the rare one-off, but this place has stiffed me enough times on bad product that I have made a couple complaints at the service desk. The same woman who seems to always be there keeps blaming the vendors. I don't buy it. I can run down to Busch's in Pinckney the same afternoon and buy the same product and it's fine. I think the Chilson Commons Kroger might have some problems with refrigeration (and hey, if you're going to put someone on the service desk, put someone there who takes customer complaints seriously, and who doesn't respond with defensiveness).

I've never shopped at any major grocery store where I've had to anticipate bad product. Now whenever I come into this Kroger, I find myself wondering if all my purchases will be edible. I only live two or three miles from the store, but between product problems and anti-trust concerns (yep, I do follow the news re the Albertsons buyout), I'm thinking about switching to Busch's. It's a Michigan-based chain and it's only nine minutes further down the road.

Trying to check out on my own. Can’t do that when trying to use a coupon apparently. Not told ahead of time. Still waiting for help. Should be out by now. Avoid store.

Kroger, PLEASE for the love of God stop letting people with full-sized shopping carts go through the self checkout. I stood in line for 20 MINUTES waiting to buy a single damn jalapeño while confused senior citizens moved at a snails pace to scan their groceries. I genuinely feel sorry for the poor employee for having to constantly bounce around like a pinball helping these people.

I never once expected that I'd someday grow up to be a man who leaves one-star reviews for places like his local grocery store, but here I am. This shopping cart issue is driving me irrationally crazy because it happens ALL. THE. TIME. It's starting to affect my marriage. Every single time I come home frustrated and bitter, my wife will look at me and say "Kroger? Again?" and I'll respond with "Again? Always."...

You quickly run inside to buy a single item and you're left standing there like a total idiot as the slowest and most completely-oblivious people on earth scan their entire food-supply for the year because there isn't a simple "12 items or less" sign like Meijer has. One of the self-scans is almost always closed or broken too while the other self-scan side is completely shut down.

Please Kroger. I'm begging you to do something. Please.

Cashier was inept, wouldn't help with "digital coupons", and then rang up an item I didn't buy and ignored me when I brought it to her attention before paying!!! Then I had to review my receipt and wait around for a refund...what a joke!!!! Ongoing poor experiences are why I mostly shop at Aldi!

chain coupons help, but many mispriced items throughout. who wants to go to customer service to correct, where they either tell you we're not a bank or act like you're a theif for wanting the price on the shelf, that's why you picked it up in the first place.
